Who are we?
BIHK Service GmbH – Foreign Trade Center Bavaria, based in Nuremberg, was established in January 2001 with the aim of supporting small and medium-sized enterprises in opening up new foreign markets.
The AWZ is a joint initiative of the Bavarian Chambers of Industry and Commerce (IHKs) and the Bavarian Chambers of Crafts. The AWZ is operated by BIHK Service GmbH, which was founded by the Bavarian IHKs. The AWZ’s projects are partially supported by the Bavarian Ministry of Economic Affairs, Regional Development and Energy.
What do we do?
The aim of BIHK Service GmbH is to help Bavarian companies enter new markets through:
- Webinars on foreign markets and international trade topics in cooperation with our partners
- Support in developing new markets through the funding project go-international.de
- Online information on international business
Within the Enterprise Europe Network, BIHK Service GmbH operates the joint online platform een-bayern.de and organizes various major events on European topics.
Who do we help?
Primarily small and medium-sized enterprises with up to 250 employees.
How do we help?
Through projects such as Go International, in which companies can participate. We design a three-step concept for you: assessment of your company’s internationalization capabilities, preparation of an individualized internationalization plan, and support in implementing that plan. In the implementation phase, you will be supported by the Bavarian Ministry of Economic Affairs, Bayern International, German Chambers of Commerce Abroad, business consultants, and senior experts.

Whether you want to expand abroad or export, this is the place to start. The service portal dienstleistungskompass.eu provides information on employee secondment and the provision of cross-border services within Europe.
